Tragic: Elderly man aged in his 70s sadly killed in a road traffic incident in Co Cork

Gardaí in Co Cork have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 70s was sadly killed in a road traffic incident earlier today.

It is understood the man aged in his 70s was killed when his 4X4 vehicle crashed into a ditch on the R585 at Shanlaragh near Dunmanway.

Gardaí say the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Cork University Hospital for post-mortem examination.
