La Liga round-up: Alaves held by Girona

With Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid not playing until Sunday, focus in Spain was on fourth placed Alaves who had the chance to climb to third place in La Liga.

Borja Baston salvaged a point for Alaves in a 1-1 draw at Girona but it wasn't enough to see them leapfrog Sevilla into third.
