Department of Foreign Affairs confirms the violent death of an Irish citizen in South Africa

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the violent death of an Irish citizen in South Africa.

It is understood that the deceased is 60-year-old Dublin native John Curran, who had been part of a charity group working to educate local children in Cape Town.

Mr. Curran is believed to have been found with multiple stab wounds.
